偷渡船澳外海沉沒至少13死

（法新社雪梨9日電）澳洲當局今天表示，1艘疑似載運非法移民的船隻在澳洲偏遠島嶼聖誕島（Christmas Island）外海沉沒，目前已證實13人罹難，另有數十人失蹤。

澳洲內政部長克勒爾（Jason Clare）說，海上漫布著船隻木片殘骸和救生衣，空中偵察已發現13具遺體，目前正全力搜尋生還者。

克勒爾告訴記者：「目前仍在進行搜尋搶救工作，試圖尋找生還者。」他也形容這場船難是「另一場悲劇，再次見證這類航程有多麼危險」。

克勒爾說，邊境巡邏機5日首度發現這艘船隻時，官員「估計船上大約有55人，大部分是成年男性，但也有少數婦女和小孩」。

澳洲海軍HMAS瓦拉門加號（Warramunga）6日奉命前往攔截這艘船，但船隻卻消失無蹤，克勒爾說，空中偵察機直至7日才發現「淹沒的船身」。（譯者：中央社張詠晴）
