邢峰因參加《露西》演出，近來成了話題人物。事實上，他極少演出，主力放在「種樹」。他被2004年諾貝爾和平獎得主萬賈麗．瑪賽伊在非洲種3000多萬棵樹感動，這幾年變成種樹的農夫，投資上千萬，在大陸江蘇租地100甲，種了約100萬棵丹桂樹，「我沒想賺錢，我吸了這麼多年的空氣，能還給地球多點氧氣，不是很好嗎？」

他以前就愛種樹，在彰化二林種了不少植物與夜來香等，笑說「種樹不用擔心庫存問題，不管是小樹苗或是長成200公分，都用一棵計價，不會跌價，將來也可留給小孩」。「我們應該多花點時間在關心的人和事物上，下輩子可能都不會再見，所以要多正面思考」。
