（中央社記者郭朝河吉隆坡2013年10月31日專電）馬來西亞內政部長阿末扎希宣布，將與外交部合作，調查美國大使館是否在馬來西亞涉及監聽與網路監控。

媒體報導美國在東南亞多個國家監控網路，阿末扎希表示，事態嚴重，目前已與外交部合作展開調查，預料一週內提出報告；一旦傳聞屬實，將交由外交部採取進一步抗議行動。

德國「明鏡」週刊引述美國國家安全局（NSA）承包公司前雇員史諾登的文件披露，NSA在全球90個地點設有特殊情報蒐集單位，透過設在吉隆坡、雅加達、曼谷、金邊和仰光等大使館內的電子監控設施，對東亞及東南亞國家和地區進行監控，包括監聽通話和監控網路。

報導指出，美國的盟友澳洲、紐西蘭、英國、日本和新加坡則不在監控名單上。

美國監控事件曝光後，東南亞各國感到憤怒，揚言對美國抗議。其中，印尼外交部長馬提（MartyNatalegawa）已表示，一旦確認美國駐印尼大使館內有監控設施，將提出強烈抗議。
