我想請問父母離婚之小孩不想繼承媽媽的遺產

因小孩子在父母離婚，就必不見面
因母親是外遇
而我們都是在爸爸得照顧下長大

問題1.如果我們不想要媽媽遺產，但媽媽還健在，那可是先辦理拋棄嗎?如可以要向哪裡提出申請?如不可以，沒有其他辦法嗎?
2.因媽媽外遇，就再也不想有瓜葛，所以之他遺產，都不想要，也不想因為媽媽死亡後，媽媽的後段婚姻所生的小孩有任何交錯，該如和避免?
